Well you know there are rumors of some guys running this "funny" fuel. But, Im not too sure any will devulge such info....you know thats all top secret info...LOL [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]
But yes. I have heard of tremendous gains but it will also make your motor go BOOM, if your not very careful. Everything has to be "JUST RIGHT" [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

You think you burn more fuel with Methanol vs. Gas. . . this is a whole different ball-game.
Better make sure you have enough of a carb to get all the fuel you need.
Me, I prefer gas or race gas (for high compression). Everything else is just a pain in the ****. You better be darn sure this is waht you want. I'ld rather spend $2k in engine mods than deal with this every weekend when I just want to ride.
Bad thing about this stuff is even if you get the jetting spot on. . . conditions change and you'll find your jetting off again. Plan on duning. . . think again, you'll be out of fuel in 30 minutes. . . with an IMS tank!

I used to run Nitro from time to time. I had dual 39 FCR carbs on ALKY jetted really fat, but you can get away with being jetted way rich with alky. With my jetting I always had my best results with 1qt of nitro with 3 gallons of gas. thats about 10% mix. Anything more than that and it would lean the fuel out to much,and performance would start falling off.
I would gain about 4-5 lenghts in a drag with it. But at $30 a gallon I didnt use it often.
IMO you would need EFI or some other type of injection system to run a higher percentages. Carburators just cant keep up with the fuel demands.

What's wrong with about 30% nitro methane? It'll make your eyes burn so bad and you can't breathe sitting on the starting line- it really increases your reaction time because you can't wait to drop the clutch! Makes a real pretty solid flame too. My Fire breathing 350x and Mr HP 200x wouldn't know how to act without it!
Never tried it on my Ds though- I think way to much of it!
