Sweet job. I heard that if you use regular paint on plastics that it doesn't last long and that it cracks. Is that true?

You have to use a flexative in the clear so it has some flexibility and can move with the plastic. The paint on the red DS is 3 years old now and the kid has rolled it probably 6 or 7 times and its held up surprisingly well.

 

It starts with a GM red after the red cures for an hour or so I use one coat of black with a VERY slow reducer in it and while its wet I put a wal mart plastic bag on it then pull it off and clear it, so you see a thin coat of black with varying degrees of red showing through. Looks really cool in the sun. can't get a good enough picture to really show it off.
