Has anyone sank an Outy 800 yet and filled the airbox with water?
I haven't yet myself but I'm sure it's a matter of time before I drop it in a hole in the river.
I looked all over in the air box and didn't find a drain plug, I suppose since it doesn't have carbs to throw gas back up in the airbox they probably figure you'll never need that. They've never rode with me and my family / buddies.
Anyway, I was just wondering how bad it would be if water hit the injectors.

WATER? What's that?
No such thing out here in the middle of the Mojave. I don't even have air boxes. Just k&N with Outerwears.
Interesting that there would be no drain plug though on that type of machine. I hope you get a serious answer out of the boys, been pretty crazy around here the past few days and you have a valid concern.
Good Luck

Thanks Marines (and I mean that), good job teach.
Around these parts the water, mud, and ultimately the rivers are like magnets; it doesn't matter how much you spend or what your intentions are for the day you eventally end up in one or all them. The airbox has a low spot built into it just like most do, a type of holding area for the muck but I couldn't seem to locate a drain plug. Perhaps it's there and I just didn't see it.
But, I would really like to know what affect water has on injecters, especally BRP injecters.
