Default BRP has stooped to an all time low

Nah, no trap.
All this was me sharing what has happened and some of my feelings about it. I am a proud person who see's these things as a bad thing for our future.
NAFTA has a bad side to it as well as a good side. Just depends on what part of the scale you are on. I am resigned that my smarts are only so smart.
I am glad to hear that the people who are being laid off are at least being treated like humans.
I have a newfound pride in my machine. So, THANK YOU!! to the workers who made my machine. I wish you well.

Except the guy who was supposed to grease the rear axle there for a while. lol!
I still think it stinks.

Hmmm...... This thread appears to be broadening to a forum wide political debate. It is no longer just about BRP and their choice to relocate production but about every worker and their right to have a job!

CEO's and other corporate officials who commit fraud or embezzle funds are getting seriously cracked down on and that is good. I am also pleased to see that unions have less than half the power, support and money that they had back in the '80's. The more we crack down on corporate crime and the less power the unions have, the flatter the playing field for all of us.

There is a misconception that unions help equalize opportunity. Not at all. The flattest playing field is a completely free market where laws are enforced. This environment allows for limitless earning ability rather than a guaranteed but limited to $28 per hour and it allows people who are lazy the opportunity to make less or get fired so they can learn that you can't make it and be lazy to. If the whole country were to unionize, we would be in the same place the Soviets were from the '50's to the late '80's. The bright and exceptional would be limited to $28 per hour and the person who sipped coffee all day and produced less than $5 per hour worth of work would make a good living for their lack of effort. All the bright people would be leaving the country to find a place that is free (without limitations) to get paid for their brilliance. Of course then the people who weren't working hard or didn't have good ideas would have to probably forcebly keep the bright ones from leaving. Pretty soon there wouldn't be enough production due to a lack of incentive and ideas to maintain that $28 per hour and poverty would eventuate. It is good that the unions continue to support candidates that are getting elected far less often.

Ok, Mudnuri. I respect you and I will quit agging on these union guys from other forums besides Bombardier.

I guess expressing my concern for Canadian/American economy is a hush hush thing that should not be talked about. If you do you are labeled something your not.
As for quality or lack of... I guess we'll see.
I am just sick of rich people looking out for themselves and not the people who made them rich in the first place. They just want to be even more rich at their countrymens expense.
Ask one of the BRP workers how he or she feels about this move.
I guess I should crawl in a hole now.
Mudnuri,

Sorry man, but I still think most of your post is wack. JMHO.

BOTTOM LINE IS COPERATE GREED,MORE PROFIT FOR THE CEO'C/SHAREHOLDERS (:< (:< (:< (:< (:< (:< (:< (:<
************************************************** **************************************
Unions have fought for WORKERS rights for over 100 years! Not only for their rights but for work place safety, job conditions, health & welfare, retirement, new hires, decent wages. Sad time for us all when the CEO's think about their pockets and the share holders BEFORE the employees that are working for them and HAVE made the products, made the profits to fatten the CEO'S / SHAREHOLDERS profits and their RETIREMENT/ PARACHUTE. Now they want to send more & more companies south to FURTHER FATTEN their pockets. GIVE ME & ALL THE AMERICAN WORKERS A BREAK.

UTU, Calm down. Have a nice glass of wine............ Your $28 bucks per hour is safe...... unless the union comes back to the table one too many times like they did with GM.

BTW, I work really hard. Give some of your money so I can afford an HPR stroker kit. If you don't, you're just greedy!

DsNut, Me I am calm. We all have time to play/time to work. Unions going to the table is give and take on BOTH sides
Industries and unions striving/negoiating. Rather go to the negoiating table and work out something for both sides , then have an impasse and let the goverment decide for us or the companies hightail it to Mexico etc, etc! Take care!!

Excellent post UTU. How do you like your Polaris? I know Dirt Wheels liked the new Polaris 800 better than the Bombardier 800 but there are a number of people on this forum that will vouch for the Outlander. Did you know they are going to start making those in Mexico now?!?

Like the Polaris a-ok so far no gripes. Had 2 Hondas and one Yamaha serviced 'em all regular seems to make 'em all last a long time if you take care of 'em. Have a great day going to work.

I read this thread and after thinking of the right way to respond without blowing a gasket here you go.

First off i belong to the largest labor union in the country, the IBEW. It stands for The International BROTHERHOOD of Electrical Workers. I belong to local 466, in Charleston West Virginia.

Mudnuri, i agree with you 100%, you better not go hide in a hole. Many peoiple dont relize that the weekends that all of us enjoy was brought to you by the unions, the same people that gave you the 40 hour work weeks. Also the prevailing wage and the davis bacon wages, yep unions. Your right to breaks and good working conditions , unions . Workers comp, minimal wage etc, unions. if not for the unions back as early as the 30s, with the teamsters, and other labor unions, we would be working 80 plus hours a week for pennies while our childern and families starve. Dont take my word for it , look into the history of the labor unions for yourself.

Second this import and export buisness is BULLCRAP. Everything on the shelves here says made in tiawan , korea , japan , mexico etc. Do you think in those countries that there shelves are full of items saying made in USA? WRONG Sure these may be crappy jobs leaving here but they feed us. Sooner or later there wont be any jobs left here then how can we afford to feed our families? It starts with small jobs then before you know it all jobs are gone , and when there gone they DONT come back.

Later
