Carb ???
#1
Did they use two different carbs on a 05' DS650X? I called HMF to get some jetting specks and they asked me what carb I have? Maybe all of you can get me dialed in?
05' DS650X
K&N air filter with outerwear
HMF slip on exhaust
Needle position?
Main jet size?
Pilot jet? Different? Same one?
Air fuel mixture setting?
Quad is all stock right now. Thanks for any input

I ran a 172.5 main jet, needle in the 4th groove from the top, & 45 pilot jet. Mixture screw you have to warm up the DS and let it idle. Turn in the screw until it starts to stumble, then turn out the screw until it starts to stumble again and set it right in the middle. I am also at sea level.

Is it possible to use the stock pilot jet?
Thanks so far!

Are you using mikuni or dyna jet? The stock jet is a 165. A 160 mikuni would be a little lean at 900ft I would think.
