Default Soon to be new DS owner

Alright guys askin for a little help here. I'm kind of new to the whole ds world (and this forum) so I was pretty shocked when I saw how quick the threads were moving here. Basically I'm picking up a ds650 project in a few days and I'm going to need some parts and whatnot for it. With that being said this isn't a wanted post, since I would have become a supporting member and posted a thread already.

I want to know how many parts there are out there for these things, I'll need fenders, radiator, carb, a-arms and a few other misc things, is there any ds specific forums out there? I pretty much just stick to atvriders and yfz-central (<- thats funny we cant include that), so I'm lookin for some new sources to help out with this project.

Does the bolt pattern on these line up with the honda or yamaha pattern? I sure have a few sets of those wheels kickin around already.

I'm also not planning on keeping this thing for to long, mainly just to get the project together and ride it for a little while. Do the ds's have a decent resale value, for say a 2000 model?

thanks for any help....I'm sure it'll go well between some of my quads

Well, Im sure you can find pretty much all the parts you listed, here on the forums. BTW, check your pm's. LOL! Also, the stock DS bolt pattern will not interchange with honda/yamaha. But, you can have your hubs machined down and cut to accept the honda/yamaha bolt pattern. I personally think the resale value has a lot to do where your located and from Connecticut...I kindly doubt it.
