I plan on shedding some pounds off the ds as well. Not to be faster but so when I come home from riding that it does'nt feel like I did a full hard core workout, remember that I only weigh around 140lbs. I have drag raced for years so when it comes to getting rid of extra weight I just look at were I can delete material without a sacrifice of durability. And yes there will be ALOT of grinding on the frame itself. It is crazy how they built this quad for durability. I will be hitting this hopefully this winter. If you are serious about weight loss for the pig then listen to these guys because they know. Also look at your frame because there is so much uneeded weight there. Good luck
