I left my ATV for about 15 min. not noticing that it stalled out. I tried to restart it and it would not fire over. I checked for spark and that was fine. After many times cranking it over it developed a starter skipping sound. Like there's a tooth broken. Although, the teeth look good on the gear. It sounds like it wants to catch but it skips out catching for a brief second. I benched test the starter and it seems fine, I don't see anything wrong with it. I believe the problem is the double gear meshing with the ring gear. Anyone have any idea what my problem may be? Ever tackle this job or have any insight?
