seemingly a redundant question.... but because you are asking about "DRAG RACING". Then the question has an EASY answer.
The Lectron HV46 or HV48. Why is it that simple? How many Pro Stock bikes use a TM? BSR? HSR? etc. etc. "0", "ZILCH", "NONE", "NADA"!!!! They are all LECTRONS. EVEN if it's a 1 - 3hp difference..... Drag racers want EVERYTHING!!!!

You are going to get alot of mixed answers on this. I would say choose what fits your budget the best. Myself would never spend $800 on a carb for a single cylinder motor. To me that is total Highway robbery. I know the hv46 is a little cheaper, I want to say around $600 or so. Which is still way to high, But with those prices you get extras like a ported intake, a throttle assembly, cable, air filter. The only way I would use a lectron is if I come accross one at the right price. I have been happy with my tm's and they are half the price and then some. So choose what you can afford, and if money is not a factor, then inject it..

Do you want to run a thumb throttle or a twist. Plan to run a twist with the TM. Trust me when I say your thumb will hate you if you try to modify a thumb throttle on the TM.
If money is the primary factor, TM's are a dime-a-dozen used. Mostly from guys selling them off to upgrade to the faster Lectron.
