Default Need your advice on tires and rims.

Hi Guys. I was wondering if someone here could answer some more questions. Right now Im running the stock 04 DS Baja rims with 22 inch ITP Holeshot tires in the rear. I ride mostly in sand pits. I want to order another set of rims for the back of my Quad. I will probably order the Douglas .190 rims 10 inch. and want to get a different type tire also. I was thinking of getting the Maxxis Sur Trak tires. I know a couple of you guys have run them. Are they any good in the sand and most important how do they hold up ? It says they only come in 2 ply and I was wondering if they get flats easy ? Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks,D

I have run "Sur traks" on my Outlander and other quads in the past.
They bite really well in the mud and huge side lugs that really grabs in the ruts.
I usually ride in the woods and have never had a flat and they wear like iron.
Haven't tried them in the sand but they can be reversed to ride in sand and snow.
there a bit heavy but I wouldn't hesitate to use again

um...where is the question about mud machines? lol, i don't really have any experience with sur tracs, they look like they would work good, i've used dominators, duro excavators, realtors and mud machines, and out of those if you want somethin that'll work great in sand and take some abuse i recommend mud machines, in snow and mud they smoke my half worn realtors and excavators, my bro has the MM and when it comes to the slippery stuff i just can't compete
