Default outty400 clearance

I will be buying one of the maxes..400,650,800?Does anyone have a problem with the 9.3" clearance of the 400. Being 8" longer I can't be hanging on rocks that my grizz has always cleared. I am also worried about the lack of a rope start on the 650s-800s. I would have walked about 10 miles in the elk woods once had it not been for a rope start??

Personally, I would be more worried about the power of the 400 for the max. After owning a Outlander 400 standard and riding it for two seasons, I won't even consider a 400 max myself. That's my opinion, so take a closer look at the 650 and 800 for the max. My two cents..

the last post is correct in advising against the 400 max. way before the 800 came out, i used our 400 demo from work for the weekend and was wanting more power. the standard 400 is a nice machine for its class. but get another person and a heavier machine and the 400 motor was working hard just to keep up. we ride at a pretty spirited pace though, and for what you would use it for it may be ok. but this is my experience that i wanted to share.
