Default Nitrous Question

Happy New Year to everyone.

Would anyone know if 12.5 to 1 compression is too high for Nitrous and would a Ron Wood CDI be ok.

Any info would be appreciated.

thanks

Should be fine... I ran nos with higher comp then that w/ RW cdi. You just need to run 110 octane or more. start out rich maybe 4 points apart on the nos/gas jets till you get the plug looking safe after a hard nos run... Is this the boondockers or wet system?

I am running the HPR13:1 superlite piston with a RWR CDI. I run a 25 shot with now problem at all. I use 110 race fuel.

As far as jetting goes, you'll probably want to run a little rich until you get the system dead-nutts on. That will take a while and will change from day to day based on temp, Barometric Pressure, Altitude, bottle pressure etc. etc.

Go slow and tune rich before you tune lean.

Good luck.

Just dont let it get to rich. That is just as bad as being to lean. You can hurt things by being to rich also. Start with the recomended setting from NX then tune from there. My experiences with NX is they arent as conservative as NOS so tune a little at a time. Good Luck

You will be just fine as long as your running the right octane fuel.
