Hey Big,

I think the lines got crossed somewhere. I didnt say its 100% done and running. I said he is 100% legit. I say that because its true. If you read his auction description, he clearly states what needs to be done to complete the project. Actually, I didnt know he was even selling it on ebay until I saw this thread. LOL I read what dabomb03 had to say, and I just knew who it was LOL. I emailed him right after and offered to help him complete it, instead of selling it. Ive got 3 other conversions being completed in the next month, and Im sure we could get his done before spring. He lost a ton of money to the builder, and is a little disheartened by it. Personally, I wish he would just bring it by the shop to get completed. But, that ball is in his court.

Gary

hey buddy i understand about the disheartened part of doing dealings. i spent roughly 44000 threw our local bomb/ honda dealer myself and another 11000 threw my company all in the same year. 2 days out of warranty they would not give me a 20 $ fan thermostat sensor, man thats great customer service dont you think. 650viper hooked me up with one of his connections and i cant even explain on how great ads is. with there customer service , i thought the add said the build was 1005 complete. my bad. do i smell a busa conversion anytime soon in the near future

WOW, Holy cow!
Hey Dstroyer. How come Gary never told us he was gonna E Bay this project?
Im disheartend he's not gonna finish the project.
Dstroyer is right on the money about Gary. Hes a stand up guy. We both know him.
Its a shame his builder took a crap on him like he did. Like Dstroyer said, Gary paid this guy a big pile of cash to build this bike and the guy took his $$$ and left him with 1/2 of what he promised to build.
Im sure Gary's taking a bath on this whole deal, Its a real shame.
Like Dstroyer said, the bikes NOT done, but what is done is quality work.
The frame is designed and based on a 400 so that 400 plastic fits it but it was purpose built for the 600 motor.

Who ever picks up on this is gonna have a great start on what can be a really great machine.

WOW, Im in shock hes selling it off.

Big,

WOW, they wouldnt even throw in a stinkin fan sensor. I take it that was the end of your business with them. As for scams on ebay, I recently almost got took for a large sum of money on a motor. Fortunately, I got my money back and I always make time once a week to harrass the guy by phone and email. I learned my lesson, and will never be taken again.

Quadbart,

I was as shocked as you. When I read the first post in this thread, I knew it was Garys bike. I offered to have him bring it by to finish, I would hate to see it go.

Gary

Well guys I did as some of you said to do before Dstroyer stepped in and apparently I touched a nerve with that "crap" we talk on here. If the guy has to get an attitude because I want to be safe then I can spend my money else where.

"Absolutely not. I read that crap on the atv connection forums, and I will not be set up like that. I assure you it runs, but you need a pressurized fuel delivery, and currently the gas tank is not included, and I never said it was. I do not sell things that are non working, so there is no need to check it out"

Evidently you guys arnt the only ones that visit the Bomb forum.

And evidently Telling a guy lies like "tell him you have a friend that lives close to him and he wants to come by and see it run." after he reads it in the forum, and also him reading stuff like " I would think about buying it if I could steal it for $3000 or so," after he just spent 10 grand on the project just PISSES a guy off.

Hmmmmm, I guess its OK to lie to a seller. Why should he be upset?

I would ask him to provide a LIST of everything that was done, and how much each item on the list cost (totalling the $11,200 investment). Then I would want proof of the costs by seeing the receipts for those expendatures.

Trust, but verify.
This may be where I have a question. If your gonna bid on an auction, do you bid on it based on what someone says they paid for it or do you bid based on what you think its worth to you.
Personally, I could care less what someone else paid for something, Im gonna bid based on what its worth to me. so what good is proving what he paid?
What if he could prove he paid over $20,000 for what he has. Does that make it worth MORE to you? If it does, Ive got a Chevette I paid $100.000. 00 for, I want to sell you cheap. SURE I have a receipt. ( I just need to plug in my printer first)

Maybe its me, but I just dont see how verifying what he paid would affect what what its woth to someone else.

(this should stir the pot a little)

quadbart send me 8000 and i will ship you both of my 730 bigbores , they are 100 % complete and running the only thing is the builder did not instal hpr5 cams in them so it really pissed me off. they only thing is send the check to my account in the gran cayman. now if you read this what do you think. its better to have things checked out then to just send money. you can be pissed off all you want . if you are pissed for asking a few ? than that is your loss. when asked if my buddy could come by and see it run and there is no hesitation than boom its legit and you tell him noones comiing by and its over. this thread was all over and finished and it was concluded that gary was a good guy and that it was legit. dont come on here reading one post and stirring crap up. i posted in an earlier post he was a good guy. check whats in your garage i have a couple of prozacs im tripping over, i had to take the rest of them when they pissed me off last night
