I think verifying the receipts is an excellent idea. It helps to establish a track record for what has been done. The dollar amount that the receipts total to is not the point because a project like this couldn't possibly be worth what it costs to build. If a seller is willing to offer up receipts, that is more evidence they are not trying to pull one over on you. Anyone who is afraid of transparency has a red flag in my book. If you are going to sell something over the internet for a sizable sum, leather up........people are going to test you to make sure you are legit. Anyone who takes that personally misunderstands the world we live in.

Hey 2BIG
Im not upset at all.
I find it funny and ironic that while some people are "saying this" and "saying that", Hes reading every thing thats bing said.
He read the part where someone suggested, "HEY, lie to him and tell him you have a bud that wants to come over and check it out" All Im saying is I guess HE found that offensive. Thats all.
Like I said, I found that to be funny. LOL

By the way, I wired the $$$ to the account # you gave me and I have scheduled a Luxury cruise liner to stop by and pick up you and the cargo where you'll be whisked away in luxury to places that have the most perfect dunes you have ever seen.
Then you will be brought to Illinois by way of the Great Lakes where we will meet, and Have a few beers. Courtesy of Gary of course.
(DStroyer, if you behave, you can join us also).
Im all good here.

I just mearly voiced MY opinion. Which was, Receipts dont mean much TO ME. All that really matters is, "Whats it worth to ME", Not ,what did someone pay for it.
Thats all.
If your opinion is different, GREAT, Its a free country. Your allowed to to think different.

Thats the part I understand about these forums. Were allowed to voice our opinions and in the big scheme of things, it doesnt really matter because its JUST AN OPINION. The really cool thing about it is that because they are just opinions, Were Both right. Theyre just different views is all.
WHAT A COUNTRY !!!!!

Ron,

Its all good man. You are allowed to state your opinion just as can state mine.
It doesnt mean that Im mad or taking offense or anything like that.
It just means we think differently about something. Thank GOD we all dont think the same.
When I send the luxury liner over to pick up 2Big and the cargo, he can dispatch the helicopter to pick you up and we can ALL have a beer.

HEY DaBomb,

I aint offended. Ive got nothing to be offended about. I was stating things the way I saw them go down is all.
I totally agree with you as a matter of fact. You need to do your best to make sure the person your dealing with is on the up and up.

And your right, If the seller copped an attitude with you about you trying to make sure he was on the up and up, then he is totally blowing an oportunity to make a sale. He should have put his feelings to the side and tried to work out the sale.
And Ill tell him that to his face when I see him. Well, actually. I probably wont have to cuz he'll read this before i see him next.

From my perspective, the whole thing went south because people are suggesting ways to try and validate him as a legit seller on a PUBLIC FORUM. Evidently no one even thought there might be a remote possability he reads the forums too?

Ahh, it dont matter anyway, Im tired of typing. These short stubby fingers of mine are getting all cramped up. LOL

Whos comming to Silver Lake Mich this summer?
I'll bring the sand !!

WOW!!!!! you guys are cracking me up. Thanks Quadbart for the kind words.

Now, back to the subject at hand. Just to clear things up, If the winning bidder even gets close to my reserve, Id be in awe. The sad part about selling something that is not finished is that you kinda get hosed.

That is why my reserve is set at exactally what I have in it. I do not want to sell it by any means, BUT I certainly want to sue the guy who screwed me and didnt fulfill his commitment, that is the sole reason for "testing the waters" to see if I could get close to what I have into it, and hire a lawyer with the funds.

So, lets talk reciepts....YES, I have EVERY ONE OF THEM.....Most are official bank drafts, (money orders, and cashiers check stubs from my own bank) so obviously they would be legitimate. i also have other misc reciepts that are 99% credit card reciepts, so backing up the $$$ is more than easy.

Yes, I admit I was quite miffed when I read the commentary, and In my opinion rightly so. Put yourself in my position:

Sold my former quad and gave someone all my money

got back less than I spent, after nearly A YEAR!!!

And now am forced to sell to sue a bad businessman

of course I was pissed when I heard the lowball offers, and the 2party check it out stuff, but no biggee, I expected this sort of stuff, as I sell lots of stuff on ebay, and I have seen it all.

Just to set the record straight:

If it hits the reserve, its sold, period. It will be completely backed with all paperwork needed.

If it does not sell, who cares, Ill just finish it in a few months, and none of this will even matter.

Sounds easy to me. Peace Out....Grady.
