My shift lever has bent a few times and I keep straightening it out. I need a new one now seeings how Im pullin the motor anyway. Is there any better ones out there. BRP wants $51 bucks! I heard somewhere that a Honda XR650 lever will work. any truth to that?

I got a nice folding one from RM ATV for $26.00 Part # 070759. No bending problems anymore.

Might have a stocker in the garage that I bought off a guy on eBay for about $7 expecting to chrome it. . . which hasn't happened yet.

Let me know. The Rocky Mt. ATV one sounds pretty good too.

I tried that # 070759 on thier site.....no matches. Can you recheck your #??

I lost my shifter in the sand and I ran into the same crap OEM $$$$ and no aftermarket. Then I hear that the 400EX shifter fits, so I got one on ebay for $14.....got it on my DS after I used a hammer to make it clear the engine....so no...the "OEM" 400ex shifter does not fit.

I rechecked the # on the receipt it is 070759 was an MSR folding shifter. Maybe they don't carry it anymore, or might have changed #. Sorry.

Ichecked RM and couldnt find it either. Seems like once they bend the first time its pretty much over for it. What about the xr650 shifter anybody know if that will work. I thought about having someone rebuild the one I have by cutting off arm and welding back on some thicker steel. Probably wouldnt be worth it.

Duneme, If you come across it and want to get rid of it PM me. Theres no rush the head is heading back to KMS and the lower end is going to CG performance. So it will be awhile before I get it back together.
