Default I hope I'm still welcome

Hello again. I haven't posted for a long time because I have been busy and without a DS for a while this last year. I am posting now just to update everyone on my baby. After crashing my last DS beyond repair, I had to wait until July to buy another one. I, along with everyone else on here were always looking for more power and less weight. I thought for a long time and came up with the answer. A motor swap. Since I mx and love duning I had to have something normal, i.e., not a sportbike motor. I decided on putting a CR500 motor in my DS. It was hands down the best thing I have ever done to my DS. The motor made about 55 hp stock, and now should be somewhere in the 60hp range. The biggest advantage of the conversion is the weight. I ran it across the scales a couple of weeks ago and it is only 400lbs. wet!!! There are some pictures on my page and you guys can tell me what you think. There are some other advantages that I will go into later, but I hope I am still welcome with my Hombadier.

The gearing is stock on the motor 14t and 40t stock rear. It was really worth doing the conversion because when I pull her out of the van at my local park and start it up. Wow, does it get everyone's attention.

p.s. The other reason I was hoping I am still welcome is because I also bought a creek quad to keep this one for the track. It is a '06 honda 450r. BTW, if you haven't ridden an '06 with the HRC kit, they are really impressive for a stock mud jumper.

Welcome back Justin, Quad looks sweet. Now you should be able to hit 100ft at the dunes easily with the new found power and weight loss. I'll have to come and check it out before you make any attemps at it though. Otherwise who knows what might be left of it if I dont see it soon. Take it easy and dont wad it up.

Yep, already been to the dunes and been hitting 100ft. or better. It has actually been together since October, but I have had to rebuild it twice since due to a moronic machine shop. I was just out riding it today and I just love it. It is on command power and is so much lighter to jump and handle in the air. MX season starts in about six weeks here and I can't wait.
