Could someone please remind me if there were any differences in the models? They are closing out 2000s now.

From what I have read, they have changed the jetting, carb spring and maybe some of them are getting different rear tires. Though, the tires may not be true, since on shootout stated that they are still getting the Dominators for 2001.

This is in addition to the standardization of the fixes to the early 2000 models.

That's all I remember off hand.

I'll probably order the parts for the carb update for mine. I have gotten the new oil sending unit. Everything else was fine on mine as far as recalls and notices.

Laters,

The '01's I have seen didn't have new rear tires. The Dominators are a pretty good tire, it's just that when you have that much HP & and the weight bias of the DS, you get a lot of spinning.

Like Scooby said, the newer the better. Everyone always makes small changes to improve durability and reliability. Especially with how new the DS is.
