End Cap doesn't fit
#1
I just got the EBAY end cap and put it on. But the holes don't line up. The stock pipe threaded holes are too far down on the pipe to line up.
Anyone else run into this problem?
Suggestions?
Thanks,

I think I might have to cut a 1/2 inch on the stock pipe

I know this is an insulting question....... Take it the right way.
Did you rotate it and try every possible angle that the screws might line up?
Sorry.....

He said the holes were too low down the tube to not line up, not offset where rotation would eventually match them.
Does it have a slot or groove cut into the inside that is not fitting over the lip? The feedback seems to indicate that it has worked for others.
Call them and see what they tell you. We'd be interested. After seeing what the "proven" ones cost I didn't pick one up off of eBay yet for exactly this reason.

AZ,
In your original thread I replied that you might have to trim the baffle on the exit end to allow the end cap to go down far enough to line up the holes.

If you cant get the cap on far enough to line up the holes, then thats an end cap manufacturing problem. If the holes dont line up from side to side, then that can be due to imperfections in the manufacuturing of the stock can. Thats why I slotted my holes so they would line up.
In my opinion, this is why you should spend a little more money on a good end cap. That way they dont have a problem making it right by returning it or repairing it. Another reason why Im not hip on Ebay.
