OK, good, I thought that is what you were getting at, but some ran with it.
Yes, assuming we are going in the right direction (contrary to BigD's props, I am wrong sometimes!), we will definitely end up swapping needles because I want to be in control of the carb with the 2 power jets. Work with me- we'll get it perfect.

222 is being honest here. When I put the moster head on, I asked 222 where I should be at to start jetting properly. He told me that it was too new and that he needed feedback. He was able to get me somewhat close, and with in a run or two I was there. Swap that needle and go from there. Once the carb is right, you can start checking into other issues.

Where does your crank case breather run? Mine runs into my intake. At the right angle and conditions, I have had some of the oil that pools in the low spot of the snorkle run into the carb and it made a mess of my plugs.
The oil that I speak of is that same oil that a lot of guys have running down their frame from whatever location the breather was relocated to.
One of those things. The point is that there are more ways to get oil in the combustion chamber than just past rings or valve seals.....

222 or mrhorse power will have to tell you what all was done this is the second 730 i had them build for me. i dont know much about motor building so i have them put the rings on the piston slap the vavles in and adjust them to specs. set the carb up for where i ride. basicaly all i do when the stuff gets here is put it together everything is all pre set. i suplied the money and they put it together as much as possible. so as far as the honing and grinding and what all went on inside the motor who knows other than i have a 48hv. 730 big bore, hpr4 cams the latest race porting on the head and intake stainless steal valves with titanium under bucket something anothers.and the valves are the oversized . so other than that i dont really know. all i really know is if you have fuel air and fire it should run, and if it has all three and it wont you are really in trouble.

i have 2 identical 730 except for the head porting and one is on the juice. i asked on here just to solve the problem before having to call kentucky. as far as nice rides i would love to go chase down coyotees with you. they are nice but there is room for improvement but for what i do there fine. these are not ultimate machines becouse of the stock chassis, wait about a year and check back with me. i will get you a pass to enter area 51 where all the top secret work is gonna be done[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
