Hello,
I'm gearing up to the change the oil for the summer season and I'm in need of answers. These questions revolve around a 2005 DS650. I have changed the oil 2-3 times before.

1. How much oil is held by the oil tank behind the light? Ball park...quart??? Not the whole system just the tank.
2. Do I need to check the screen on the bottom of the tank? I've never checked it before. Any advise or do I need to pay attention to anything special.
3. How often are you guys changing your oil? I usually try to do this 2 times a season but I'm wondering if this is overkill if using a good quality synthetic or maybe the filter should be changed twice per season???
4. In the course of engine oil flowing thru the system does the oil go thru the filter all the time or does it bypass the filter sometimes.

1-After changing refill with 3.5 quarts.
2-Check the screen.I do once a yr depending on how many rides.
3-Our weekend rides are about 15-20 hrs of riding.It might be **** but i will change after a
long weekend.I use Klotz 10/40 syn.
4-Im pretty sure it goes through all the time.
