I know this sounds strange coming from me but I was asked if the stock OEM carb off my DS would fit a bombardier 500 traxter. So since I know nothing about the Traxter I thought I'd throw it out to all of you...
Thanks.
Thanks.

According to my 2001 shop manual the Traxter has a BSR 33-12-A carb.
I don’t know if that helps you or not, just thought I’d through it out their.

Com'on people....I know there are some of you who have a Traxter....Help me out here......all I need to know is will it mount up to the existing intake manifold?

I've got a Traxter but not a DS so I can't tell ya. To tell you the truth I've never seen a DS outside the showroom floor.

well with the number being "BSR 33-12-A carb" for the traxter carb I would have to say its a 33mm carb where as you know the stocker on the ds is 42mm. That might be shoving a lot more down the throat of the traxter than it can handle though if its still totally stock. It would be worth a shot though. One thing you will have to take into consideration is the intake boot (between manifold and carb) as that is a reasonable difference and not sure if the stock boot would seal properly. There are always ways to "make it work" though... be it changing the manifold boot out (not sure how flexible the stock traxter boot is...might be able to man handle it over the 42 carb.
