What tire for the 800?

Love the 800 but not the cheap rubber. Out of balance and just cheap tires period. Not looking to turn this thing into an extreme mudder, but I want something with a little more bite, without killing the smooth ride for trail use. Probably stay with 26" to keep the edge on the performance. Or would 27's give more top end (this thing has power to spare).
Mostly trail riding, but get in the swamp at times, and when the gang hits a forest road, it's WOT to the next trail.
Thinking MudLite XTR's? Or ???
Thanks for the input. DT

HMMM the big question. I don't know how many times I have been asked the same thing. I went with highlight M/S/T's for my rubicon, haven't gotten them in yet and they are going out of stock in part unlimted. I think they would be a good tire. Or the new swap lite seen them on a quad before and though about getting those but though maybe a little too much for just a 500, but not a 800

I have the 27 inch Mudlite Radials on my 800 BRP and they show no sign of wear at all in 550 miles..I have them mounted on ITP C-7 series rims and they were all spin balanced.
An excellant tire that FINDS traction in mud, snow or natural terrain and rides very good.
I WILL buy them again.

Dito,I have three sets, the best all around tire I have found. I don't know if I am ever going to wear any of them out.
FYI. Big horns run larg. I went with 25" bighorns and they are still taller than the stock 26" carliles. They are a little heavy but not near as bad as some of the other choices. I would not go more than 26" unless you need the ground clearance.
