Default ported intake

Just completed my ported intake and all I have to say is WOW. Better throttle response an definitely more horsepower (seat of pants dyno)
Needless to say it was time well spent. Took me about 3 hours all told and $17 for an inake on Ebay. I needed both by die grinder and the dremel. With all the great advice on this forum I was able to get great results. I really tried to remove material to straighten air flow, completly removed the hump and molding ridges and kept the vein to the carb. end. i also enlarged the opening in the rubber mount between intake and carb. All in all great, inexpensive mod even with stock carb! This mod will help bone stock to heavily modded set up.

Bombardier seems to jet these a little rich from the factory. I would ride it first and see if it even needs to be re-jetted. Try a few runs with the airbox lid on then take it off. See when it runs better and that should answer whether you need a bigger jet or not.
