yjacket2001 im no expert i just do excatly as the manufactures tell me to do word for word. And if it gose wrong its there fault.too many people think they have a tad better idea and try to alter or improve on what they were told then when it don't work its not there fault its the manufactures fault.Gary built my motor if it falls apart its his fault kelly built my turbo system if it fails its his fault both these guy's know i want to be fast and when they suggest something i don't ASK QUESTIONS ACTUALY I DO BUT WHEN THEY SAY NO THIS IS HOW I WANT TO DO IT I LET THEM. And as i said its there fault if it don't work .Thats why i still have a msd ign.gary said no i can't take it off. but he is right the stuter start is invaluable. And im not in the buiness i repair and haul heavy equip i own big trucks. and little trucks too

AZSand,
Thanks for the info. I found a turbo banchee shop in Eugne, OR of all places. Got some racers up there of all kinds. I don't know if they are the Banchee Bandits, but they are the only thing I can google up - Trick Racing Engines.
Hmmmmm, wonder if it would fit in an LC or RZ 350 frame? I didn't see any smoke from it at starting gate at drag race either which was amazing to a novice like me. What a blast.
Thanks!

OregonDunePatrol,
My cursor rolled over your active Eldebrock name in signature block. Do they make those for DS650?
One guy said they did on web forum, but he seemed like a hypster and he said no more (said he invented changes for DS650 but that's all he said). I saw an article in offroad.com, but was skimpy. It said 1.75 hp gain on 450cc, better response, and adapts to elevation changes. But that was about it word for word condensed. It seems about like 450r carb performance from that description.
You are the expert and have one too, so I couldn't ask a better source. What do you think about Eldebrock for DS650? tuneable, elevation changes, smooth throttle response, ...?
Thanks!

good luck with trick racing...
viper, the turbo's are unreliable because they (at the time) werent getting lubrication. They were pushing 25-28lbs of boost out of that particular turbo and it was eating itself alive.

Something may have changed recently then. No smoke on Turbo Banshee at start, and rail ,what ever it was, smoked crazy at start, maybe on nitrous. Wouldn't that indicate some type of reliability difference between those 2 anyway? The rail didn't look like too many more races left in it although it was fast. But not near as fast as turbo banshee. The Banshee ran like a sewing machine, didn't smoke, and very tractable.
And what's wrong/good with trick racing? telephone answering, ha-ha. They were only turbo banshee dealers I saw.
Thanks!

yjacket2001,
I purchased my Edelbrock for my EX because it was the best carb on the market at the time - back in 2003. For the DS, I think the best choices are the Lectron 46HV or the Mikuni TM45 - in that order - depending on how much you want to spend. There are some things that I dont like about my Edelbrock, but I do like the tuning capability of it. And I also like the HP gains. However, I'm sure there have been new things in the carb arena for the EX since I purchased mine.
As far as the Edelbrock for the DS. I dont think they make them. I understand that Bill was able to get the only prototype. No, I wouldnt consider myself an Edelbrock expert -

DaBeechMan,
Thanks for your insight. I might have seen one before, but seen a lot on film lately. And this banshee is first one that didn't have significant lag. All I know is comparison differences and not why, yet. Something is technically different though, as the film is the proof on several identical runs.
Trick sent me to another website and said their blower would be more like what I want, conservative and scaled down, compared to their turbo's with stroker. They show it reving with w/ tach in picture. Very impressive. It revs the tach full range in a second or so, and very quiet too.
www.trickracing1.net/
You have to load some crap Apple video software to watch blower kit bike, but can uninstall afterwards since it will screw up Windows Media Player commands from 2 different media sources.
That looks like something I could add to an LC or RZ 350 motorcycle too. ATV has performance from end to end.
Thanks Guys! Keep up the good work.
