No poor voltage the bike requires so much ampreage if the system is faltering any it won't run right.but that has been fixed we have a mondo charging systen on it now. As a matter of fact why i was out riding last weekend i gave a locomotive a jump start[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] good thing he had jumper cables[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

 

That is good to hear. At 145 hp you have the most powerful single cylinder 4 stroke out there right now, right? Now that it is running right, I look forward to seeing it run.

 

Do all the 4 stroke turbo's require so much ampreage? Their was so much talk before 4SW's '06 about a TRX520 turbo @ 100 + HP. A big bore kenz turbo KMS raptor on NOS @ 136HP. A KMS DS650 turbo with XXX. A TVI 800 turbo DS on NOS @ 147HP. Does a stock DS650 have 280 watts stock out put don't they? Did any or all these turbo bikes make it to 4SW's '06? If so were did they place?

 

the turbo is what was unreliable, not the top end

The turbo's have their place. But I still think they have a lot of proving to do before they become competitive in 300' on a single cylinder 4-stroke. The NOS is gonna help and might just prove me wrong at Planetsand but Im all eyes, [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

Dabeech, I think I get what your talking about, but are you saying the turbo itself is the cause, or the use thereof?

Turbos in themselves are hard to tune. Its hard to tune something that has so much in variables. Different boost requires different jetting, and so on. Thats usually why 2's dont last long, they get out of tune, people still run them, they deto, and boom. I can see what you mean by it isnt the top ends fault, its just the combo that make it difficult.

No joe i think its the msd on my bike that puts me over the top if the vortex hadthe stuter start i think i would go with that .
