the turbo bikes make 160-190hp depending on what boost they run. All on a stock bore/stroke motor. Show me a stock bore/stroke banshee that can make 190hp on JUST nitrous.

for what its worth the reason you dont see turbo banshee's is because they are extremely hard to tune and very unreliable. also take into consideration that aerodyne went out of business and turbos werent being produced

Yeah I "lost" two turbos when they went under. I had two turbos in for repair and never got them back.

Anyway there is a new aerocharger out: http://www.hiperturbo.com/ not cheap by any means. I switched to garrett.

Scooby,

What was that banshee turbo setup?
It makes me want to get a used RD350 or a LC350 (liquid cooled) if I can find one,
and put one of those on it.

What builder/shop did that? Looks like fun. Never seen anything like that before.

Thanks!!

Yjacket, as was stated, two strokes with turbos are very unreliable. Do they work? Yes, people have been putting them on 2's for years. But most know its just a matter of time before it goes. And no matter what engine the spins behind, there is always lag. It does not matter if its behind a 2 or 4 stroke, the size of the turbo, and the placement makes the difference in lag. I have not watched the video, but would bet it has a smaller turbo and is located really close to the engine if it is not creating much lag.

Wait another week, it might just need a new top end. Thats how most 2 stroke turbos go. But when they run OH BOY you better hold on.

Was the intake the bottleneck that was causing the cutting out?
