well i filled up my bike last night and today in the mourning i check the tank and its empty some how all the gas went into the piston and airbox so before i started it i checked the airbox and my filter was swiming in gas so i drain it and well after that the motor would not turn over so i take out a spark but my dumba$$ forgets to switch it to the off position and when i hit the starter button the whole bike catches on fire luckuly i was right next to the hose and got it it quickly the only damage was my uni filter melted it felt like forever when it wouldnt go out but man was i runing fast to put it out also what could have caused all my gas to drain in to the airbox and piston thanks

Your float could have stuck open allowing all that gas to run down to the piston and then back up into the air filter. If you ever have a gas fire again you might consider that water is the worst thing to put one out with. You are very lucky that when you hit the started the fuel from the compression didn't spray you then ignite. We learn from our mistakes and you are one lucky person .

And we wonder why people like Fuel Injection!
Glad to hear you and the bike are fine.
I run those Uni's too. . . unfortunately they are a fuel sponge. They hold plenty of it to ignite and once they start burning they are going to stay lit for a while.
Sounds like your quick action saved you and the bike.
I'ld pull the carb(s) off completely and tear them down and do some serious cleaning. Don't want a hang-up out in the dunes where you don't have a hose. Fuel is too expensive to let spill out of the bike.

i found out what the problem was i used some of that black silicon sealer on my carb and i guess i used to much sealer so it made a little flap inside wich helt up the flotter and caused it to fill with gas i just took apart the carb cleaned it up and im going to try to start it up tommorow
