Dsnut's account is accurate. He's on the right track for sure, When he gets it dialed in perfect it will be a force to be reconned with. What he didnt tell you is that I blew the head gasket on the last run. At first I thought it was from the nitrous (20 instead of 25) but I was very sure that it was rich. I didnt want to run it to hard due to it being a new motor. I actually changed the head gasket in the parking lot in 2hrs 45min (whats the record?) Got her running again. After it warmed up and the fan came on I felt the lower hoses and they were cold! I pulled the thermostat out and tested it in boiling water no problem there. Drained the system and pulled the impeller cover and you guessed it. Its an ODP billet water pump, ( I finally got around to installing) THe tolerance between the cover and the impeller is two tight. It hung up and spun the press in shaft (impeller simply fell out when I pulled the cover) thus causing it to overheat and blow the gasket. I think that the NOS hit put it over the edge. I was running Engine Ice in it which probably saved me from more damage.

I had a blast over there with Ron, Tony (thanks again for lunch), Brent, Rod and Big D. Im looking forward to running with you guys again. Nut and I have very similar builds, I got a first hand experience with lighter rotating mass. Nuts bike would pull me by 4 or 5 lengths on the flats. I just couldnt catch him on motor. I wasnt exactly dialed perfect but it was pretty good. Bomber told me some time ago to expect a 4 length gain. I beleive him now! Just by changing out the 530 for a 520 picked up a good length and a half.

I will add more to this later, I just got home and Im beat. Make no mistake DSNUT will be a contender at DS Days that bike has some real potential. When he gets the tuning right on it look out!

I think we had about 5 lbs of potatos left, and 3 lbs of gravey. Had Scatters bike been running, I was going to put in in the oil tank.....Put some weight on that pig

It was a good weekend all around, from the riding, the lightning and hail, and the in the parking lot head gasket change.......wow

Oh wait, we have not even touched on Johnney law issues this weekend. No we did not get any tickets, but we were close. Crash had his new HMF tested, and came in at 102... I had my special surprise tested, and came in at 113.....I told him I was changing back out, and had asked for that curtosy test...We lucked out there, but then Sunday Crash and I were dragging at Winchester, and keeping an eye on the sherriff out there, and making sure he did not see us. Well DSNut came down, so Crash and I joined him for a drag. DSnut won by a lot, and wee turned around to run again and here comes the sherrif. We all took off in different directions and got away....

Crash did not crash this weekend, but Big D went down 3 times, and I went once...But in Crashes deffence, if he ain't crashin', he's runnin'......

We will give more details later, right now I have not seen my Girl in 3 days and am going to bed....

Scatter & Nut, that was a good showing Sunday. Keith, once you get that axle, and 8" wheels and tires, you will be very close on all motor to Nut's bike. Glad you figured out what went wrong, that was some fancy Nascar pit work going on when I left. This makes me feel a whole lot better about NO2, Ron, so bolt some of that good stuff on Keith, look us up at St. Anthony, and I'll make your next lunch worth while. Crash and Dragon, good meeting you, and I'll be keeping an eye out for you guys every third weekend.
