I measured the stroke of the stock clutch cable and it was around 13mm. With the Magura you might get 10mm out of it if you mess with it enough (add washers, etc). If you lube your stock cable the tension feels just the same as the magura, so the magura isn't lessening the pull effort much at all.

That is a matter of opinion only!!! I had 60% springs and was getting tired of the clutch pull so I replaced my cable. The new cable helped but I still wanted easier pull so took a chance on the hyd clutch. My impression was that its a night and day difference over the cable. Instead of a rigid full 4 finger pull it was a 2-3 finger pull. Yes it would not pull in all the way making it hard or impossible to get into nutural with the engine running but I considered that a fare trade-off for the easy pull. Its electric start. I did not have any problem with clutch slippage at all. In fact, the lever free-play is adjustable at the lever so there in no reason to not allow the clutch to fully enguage. I'm a duner (or rider) who likes to occasionally race the hill and, I am noticing that most of the complaints are from those who mostly race. It might be fare to say that weather or not you will like it, or if its a worth-while addition would depend on how you ride. For me? I say absolutely and I would put one on my next DS If I buy one. Thats my opinion.
