New motor built by bigdaddy

Thanks for props Annihilater. Haven't experienced the new ride yet, but If it's anything like his 720 (which he says it is) it is sure to be a monster.
Not sure about the 20th, not sure if my motor will be done by then. I will be there for the next round (is it Labor Day?). I would love to be there with my DS Brothers but I just don't think it's going to happen.
I do expect a full report, and a break down of who's just talking smack and who BRINGS IT.
Not worried about some of you, but other out there seem to be a lot of BENCH RACIN' and JABBERAN
Hope that you guys don't get NINJA'd

I posted the dyno curve comparision under the hpr section of ondunes. Looks like it will be a fun ride, I should be healed up enough to ride the hill.. Seat of the pants is a huge difference all over.

LOL- 1bigdsrider It all about the baseline.
Major and hightower, Bigdaddy and I have been Planning to meet up with the flatlanders but we thought Big's bike would be done by now. I will still try to make it.
Hightower- the air filter BY NO MEANS made 5hp peak, 2 ft lb torq across the board. Actually a little under 2. I did change jetting on PJ so that MAY have played a part. The main thing is that it rev'd alot faster with the filter. And the 4 ft lb at 4k went up and dipped back down, It was only making 4 more for 500 rpm's. Bare with me, Its hard enough telling a Bulgarion dyno operator how to operate his own dyno... It was only good for a baseline, And the baseline was compared to the speeds etc. We found the gearing that matched the speed on the last dyno runs to try and make all things equall. I dont know enough about the programing of dynos. I think he simply has ancient software. Being fair I could almost blame the extra hp on the fact of the motor finally breaking in and seating up (Note-I ran 1 tank full tank cruizing around before dyno session and from the first run to the last it made 2 more hp peak and 5 hp across entire curve). Let me do another dyno session HOPEFULLY with an a/f meter before we claim air filter gains... Im gonna find another dyno and do some more runs. I was ticked off enough when we made a run and the computor went to some funky screen and he had to pull the run out. AND ITS GETTING REAL HOT IN VEGAS!!!dang it!!!!

Some day when I grow up, I'm going to have a great big motor. I'll teach it not to bark, and I'll pick up all the poop.
Aint racing me.... I'm racing you.
I'll be the first to say it. Mario has done right by just about everyone on this forum at one time or another. To say he's a hill shooter doesn't give him credit. This guy is one talented racer and comes out of the hole EXTREME! I'm hoping that the motor give this guy what a talented guy deserves.
Beat him, and he's nothing but kind when you get to the bottom...
Ya better keep calling me Bigdaddy.... Who's your daddy baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh thanks for the nice words...xoxoLOL
You can just call me pops for now on. Alright son? Get your motor together and I promise to find a english speaking dyno shop.
Oh I went and bought that polaris today. My dad is going to turn it ino a ranch mule!! I was wondering if all that wireing is for the wench. Isnt pretty simple to hook them up?

I never took a wench off.... however I thought that he a wench with it. Can't speak to the wiring, however I do know that the bike ran as advertised the two times I borrowed it. In fact I had it up at 9800 - 10000 ft and it ran great.
It's not an HO motor, those came a year or two after... but it is a good working quad.
Dude, what are going to do for a dyno? I think that might be the last ATV dyno in town. At some point, were going to have to buy our own.
Skip is gone, Tony's is in the crapper, Dyno jet is there but they are an arm and a leg and we can't do the work.

It would be cool for the 4 of you to come out east. We always need more competetion out this way. Try and plan for Clash of the titans or similar races. Big groups of fast bikes.

We are happy with the bike. I wouldnt question its sound. We all need to go up to the ranch and chill.
I will find a dyno, I have a few in mind but one will take some $$ persuasion, And the other is the original speedway car dyno. The heavy drum makes me cringe on every pull. Or I will take it upon myself and have tony update the software and make sure the duno is sound. I tried to call Randall and get the settings straight but it was on Saturday and was probly busy as heck. I thought the SAE setting on this dyno wasnt right. I though it should be STD but I may be wrong. I will pay Tony monthly and we can use the dyno whenever we want (of course if its on point). I can pretty much operate it now. I learned alot more about it this weekend. Ive already talked to him about renting it from him. I should just buy it and open up a dyno shop for atvs, and pitbikes. The new software cost 28k he said. SO MAYBE we can get a good deal on the dyno. Tony did say he will get dynojet out there to correct it. I dont think there is any correction factors. And Last time we showed #s you should have been higher hp realistically speaking... My gearing was much taller than yours in that particular gear and IMO didnt make it a fair session. Even though we tried all different kinds of settings and gears only to see tiny gains. Im lucky enough to have obtained a baseline.lol
