Riccochet Skids Are An Awesome Addition to Outy
I just installed the full kit and managed to go over a log pretty hard. I really like the fit and finish of the skids. It took longer than I had anticipated but looks great and will hopefully protect the underbelly. I hated to drill the frame, but the guy at Riccochet said they haven't had any issues. Has anyone had any problems with frames breaking at the drill holes?
I was wondering if I did have an issue, would the warranty be voided because of drilling or would Riccochet step in. I thought about an alternate mounting but decided on just do the drilling. I did use a 5/16" instead of 11/32 (partly because I didn't have an 11/32" and because I wanted the smallest hole possible.) I do really like the smooth all the way to the back finish. I'm hoping this will also help in deeper snow. How many else have put the skids on, and do they like them compared to the pvc ones?
