Lol, pathetic.
If I take a stock bike to a race and they all break in my class, even though I am not near the fastest, does that make me have the best build? Sure it's a matter of holding it together through the whole race. But just cuz the best competition breaks, dont make you any faster. The fastest fourstroke bike there was a HPR 730, no questions asked. Can you PROVE otherwise? Got any timeslips? Not taking anything away from the Rocket Racing boys, as thats some god times. But they were still over a half second behind the 730's average. So who really was the fastest there?
How did your bike do? Could it beat one of these ported engines in question?

This isnt on the topic of head porting anymore i was just wondering about the benchmark he set for porting. But since you brought it up when a bike couldnt start at 4sw and hpr wouldnt give them time to fix it. and it was the rules they did nothing wrong. They were asked for a grudge match they declined because they didnt have the fastest bike and even though they would of kept the trophy they knew they werent the fastest. But we dont want to talk about that do we. I think this is called karma. Good job Rocket you guys are class acts.

I second that. Chuck's been the man out west for quite a number of years when it comes to custom porting heads. A lot of people study his port jobs after they are done, so that they can try and learn from the best. I get nothing from saying so, I just love what he does.

Wow, rcoop were you at fsw's? Or is this another hearsay story?
I wasnt there either, but I will lay out the way everyone there has told me it is.
The gentlemen that could not start his bike, after the race was over, wanted a grudge match. Well guess what, there was more official racing to do. You do not, in any form of racing, stop the official event, to let a guy with his feelings hurt try to get a grudge match in. You know that. It was told that after the races were over, there could be all the grudge matches anyone wanted. Well guess what, when the races were over, no one showed to prove there ****!! Instead they got on the forums and said Glenn won, but wasnt the fastest cuz they didnt get there race in. Thats is plain pathetic, and a picture of a true sore looser. There was no bike there that was faster at fsw's then Glenns. It was not single eliminations, they had other shots. Can you prove otherwise?
As for the comparison with dunefest. The difference between the two is, you have not heard Cape get on here saying he was cheated, cuz he didnt get to race. He knows thats racing. He is a man about it. Now for speeds. Cape ran the fastest times for them bikes at that event, hands down. That there shows you the motor build works good. Was there another there that was a good comparison? No. There was no other Ds builder there. Why was that? Are they all scared? I doubt it, but think some of there customers are. Nuts bike ran good. Heck any bike that runs a 4.71 is hauling. Thats faster then the eventual winner there. He has not got on here and complained that he got cheated cuz he didnt get a rematch. He knows thats racings and takes it like a man. Rocket Racing built a very nice and fast Raptor, that was able to hold together to win his class. Cudo's to them. They had what it took, were fast enough to make it happen, and it held together.
As for porting. While we all choose our builders. There has been no one to date, that has come forward to prove, on or off the track, that there is a better port job than the one in question. It is a very expensive port job, that I know first hand. I have not had any other port work done by anyone else. But I have not ran against a bike that has the power mine has just from the port job. That I know is fact, and I am willing to put my machine up against any other stock bore bike to prove that fact. Me and Mario have very similar builds. With different motor components. I have ran both bikes, and I know his bike runs very well. So I know others port work works, that I dont deny. I donot think there is another port job out there that will give you more power than the one HPR offers, or I would have bought it.
It is like you said, a hard comparison, as there is too many variables. But no one is on here arguing that fact, cept you.

Maybe someday i will get a chance to see how my stock bore stacks up to some of the other faster ones out there.I will not be able to make DS days this year but i will make plans to attend next year regardless of where it is.I truly believe that with equal weight riders my stock bore can hang with just about any other stock bore out there.I am still using a stock pipe with the ODP end cap and getting the kind of performance that i am so switching to a more powerful pipe would help.I will also be adding a Nitrous system soon and that should be quite a boost and a lot of fun.I imagine that HPR port work is probably as good as it gets but my CG port work is no slouch either.
