I am trying so save weight where i can on my DS and the fox floats seem to be very light but is the ride quality much better than the stock fronts?Does anyone know just how much weight is saved with the Fox fronts as compared to the stockers? The adjustability sounds like it could be a good way to go for duning to compensate for different sand conditions.Who is running these and what do you think?

I was running the floats lat time we lined up, Mike. They do save alot of weight...........especially on pre-2005 models.
If you run them softer they ride better than stock shocks. You just need to know your jumping limitation. I love mine. Once i got the right pressure for my weight and riding style, I didn't have to mess with them anymore and they are awsome!

On your bike it should be around 18 lbs. I found out my '05 had lighter duty shocks. I weighed mine and I saved about 11 lbs.
18 lbs made my $600 sound like a better value than 11 pounds but now that I have them, I love 'em

18 lbs would be a huge weight reduction that would make the Fox shocks even more appealing.I will not try to get too crazy with the weight reduction on my DS since it will be my dune ride for quite some time and i still want strength but the Fox shocks seem like a good idea.

Not to be the fly in the FoxShock-ointment...
Very good friend of mine has some fox floats on his NASTY KFX 700 (turned 800 I believe), and he HATES them. Loved the weight savings but hated the ride. Not sure if he's had time to do the adjustments, but he was comparing to Elka Quad rates with ressy. They might have been triple rates.... Not sure. He hasn't had a lot of seat time on the shocks, but maybe after a few more hours on it he'll work it out.
I REALLY liked the looks of them and I was thinking the VERY same thing.
Hope more people chime in.
