On the valley side of the hill the whoops at the top will throw you off your bike at speeds in excess of 70mph, we were having to start slowing about 100 ft from the top, you may have to start slowing down even before the whoops at the top of the hill.
On "the Face" the whoops are only at the bottom of the hill and the rest can be run at breakneck speeds- it is slightly steeper but a little shorter than the valley run.

I have my own kids thanks. That is one thing I am not looking forward to is the trip. But I still can't wait to go. See ya all there.

Oh yea, 6 more days for me [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Although, I am not sure I am looking forward to 800+ miles in the car with a 5 and 3 year olds.....But it will be worth it when we get there. We are Pulling out Bright and early Tuesday morning at 2am. And driving straight through. We will be there Tuesday night. I am going to bring some stakes and putting up caution tape to rope it off for everyone......Actually, I have a buddy trying to get me some police line tape.... That would be cool.

 

Hey I understand that drive. I should be there hopefully before noon on Friday so save us a spot.

Unfortately I wont be heading out to Utah for this DS Days, I could go into detail as to why but it really doesn't matter - just to do with work and ownking my own business. Suffice to say that even if DS Days was at Glamis I wouldn't be able to attend so it isn't even a Utah distance thing. (Now if it was close enough for a day trip, I'd be there!)

Anyhow I think I'll be able to get in some longer riding trips this riding season, hopefully some 3 and 4 day weekend trips, now that would be fun! hope to see all of you at the dunes & stay safe & sane this trip!

 

just 4 more days! ordered some new rear wheels for the big bike and am mounting up some "special" tires.... hope I can keep the front end down. LOL! will be servicing bikes and loading up all day monday and then resting up and doing nothing on tuesday. heading out first thing wednesday morning. probably wont roll into the hill untill thursday morning early but will be staying somewhere near by. hope there will already be someone there to show us what area to camp in but Im pretty sure we have it figured out . sure looking forward to meeting everyone
