Relible mods for ds,FOR AROUND $500 & UNDER?
Alright this might be a little hard to answer so hear goes.I have a 2005 ds650x (k&n,ams paddles tires).Ineed mods that are reilible but simple to,im no mechanic. But i have only 500$$ and under.Preferably a list of stuff for around that price range. No carb stuff, not smart enough.I ride dunes occasionly, hard dirt,Some drag racing. But water and mud is mainly what i ride in.The list of stuff i will order soon is all-trak's rear,ESR billet water temp guage,15-14 tooth sprockets. In your opinion what else do i need exhaust tip,rev box ect.Even stuff to make it look good.Everything looks like the day i got it a month ago.Any help and recamendations for items appreciated. Thanks

Well most start with the basics Pipe, Intake/filter and rejet. If you do any mods performance wise you are going to have to rejet but if not able to do your self it shouldnt cost to much to have someone rejet it for you. These 3 mods will make a very nice difference in power.

Make that 500 bucks work for you keep checking E bay for end cap (Under 100), and a TM45 carb (from 175 to 250)
call around your local race motor builders and see what they will charge for porting your intake also from 50 to 75, heck some might do it for beer? Then depending on how and where you ride, you could change the front sprocket, I here the guys on this forum say Rocky Mountain ATV is the ticket for that.
Good luck, have fun!!!
Buying a full on exhaust is from 200 to 0ver 500 depending on whistles and bells, heard great things about the HMF, and HPR Top Gun, some folks say that the Ron Woods is awsome, I ride with a Big Gun no complaints <--was free!

Yes,the sprocket i will do a 14 tooth. And a 15 tooth.Only like 17$$ apiece. But i appriciate the info but my quad is knew so i really dont want to tear into the motor yet.So im thinking maybe full exhaust and pay somebody to rejet it for me.Any other ideas on a rev box or other simple mods?
