2big, when I had my Busa... it dyno's at like 168 or something at the real wheel. This was on a dynojet dyno. I actually picked up about 7hp by changing my chain out. The chain was very old and stiff.

These busa's flat out rock and will do it all day. I am building one, and can't wait to run such a monster on cheap pump fuel. It will be very nice to go down to Arco and dump $15 for an entire weekend. Can't wait. You were there, remember when I road the DS Busa that was at PISMO.

I knew I had to have one then.

that's the problem with a DS busa. once you have ridden one its hard to go back to something else

Super said it... and it's right on the money. Once you ride one - it's all but over. Super, have you figured out a way to run a thumb throttle yet? That will be something that is necessary for me. I really don't like a twist on a quad. You know... one of those things that people love or hate.

thanks freebird. big daddy, a thumb throttle would be easy to hook up but the stock throttle uses two cables, one pulls the injection rack open and even though the rack is spring loaded to shut automatically when you let off the the throttle the other cable pulls the rack shut in case of a "stuck at wide open throttle situation". you can run just a single cable if you like and just run it into your stock thumb throttle . as long as everything is clean and lubed and working like new it will open and close the rack just like on any other bike but should your throttle ever stick you could find yourself in a bad situation in a hurry. the bike does have a built in 11000 rpm rev limiter though and if you manage pull the clutch in even though your in mid wheelie with the throttle stuck it will be on the rev limiter in about 1/4 of a second

as Supersonic says the thumb throttle is easy to hook up, I use the TM45 throttle cable and it drops right in. However the spring are pretty stiff on the thumb, it takes about 10 mins to lighten the pull up to where it is about as easy as a stock Ds to push.

That's great info. Super or Major, you guys going to DS Days? Please tell that you are, and bringing the monsters.

Hope I get to see it before it's gone.

I'll be the tall, skinny ( ) on the DS. You'll be the guy with the smile on your face - whether you sell it or not.
