Along wih my insurance I am going to engrave the inside of my skins under the heat tape and inside of my wheels and even inside of tires near the bead. And anything else I take apart. Wouldn't hurt to right down and record any serial #'s on accessories that might have them.
Years ago a friend had a 35ft enclosed trailer stolen from North OC Ca. and it wasn't much longer after that due to some markings a amature thief/tweeker wouldn't think of hiding, Another friend of his spotted the trailer out at Glamis and told the guy,"Hey dude that a nice set up. Mind if I take some pics for some idea's for my own project" (something like that) and then this being before the everybody had a cell phone days, went and called the local law and recovered the trailer.
I hear the idiots were pretty suprised and wish i could have seen it.
Beats me why out of ALL the loses we indure due to ****@#$'s like this that we don't vote in some harsher punishment.
It's like all these other crimes that have a heavy repeat rate and a carrier following, THE PUNISHMENT JUST ISN"T that bad to make it out of the question to do something like that!
Oh well, My two cents of pissoff!

My buddy had two dirt bikes stolen right out of his shed a yz85 and a klx 200 they backed there truck up through his trail that led to the rode and rolled them throught the snow to the truck. He still hasnt heard a world about his bikes and its been months. The worst part is he thinks it was someone he knows because they knew the trail lead to his house and how to get into the shed.

Kind of good news!
Got her back an hour ago and have been doing the fine tooth comb thing. I can most definitely say that all of the time and effort that my son and I put into getting her ready for DS Days was wasted. New plastics all the way around now have one coat of red paint and one coat of gun metal grey. Over spray every effing where. Ignition ripped out and a hack job hotwire was done. Fascia trim gone, AC Racing sixpack rack and a few other items gone. Some nicks, dings, rips, and tears here and there.
Many many hours and dollars ahead to get her back to a presentable state but I have to core to work with. Kinda of late for any **** haulin but she seems to run just fine.
Looks like whoever was riding her ran out of talent as the fascia is pushed back under the headlight and the light is aimed about 45 degrees upward. Hopefully his nads got squashed out of his ears.
Thanks so much for the offers of rides when we come up, we're covered there. As for all of the kind words and concern I cannot thank you all enough. You all kept my head high throughout. Appreciate it.
