Default Slip on vs.full for ds650

Alright, ive posted questions on exhuast before. And all were good idea's you guys gave me.But no one really specified slip-on or full.I need a good sounding exhuast (not too loud),but my engine on my 05 x only has a K&n/outerwears,14-tooth sprocket. I like the HMF slip-on.But in a couple of years i want to do a big-bore kit.And i dont really want to change exhuast's for the engine overhual. So what exhuast has the most potential.Full or slip-on.And ive said this before it needs to handle the snow&salt. So needs to be winter worthy without rusting.Price doesnt matter.Ive beed getting really into the cross country style racing lately.Needs to have a spark arestor also.Just need opinions.Other possible exhuasts are yoshi, white brothers, ron woods ect.Any help apreciated, i hate to bring up a constant question. Hmmm my two cents worth would be to suggest that you go for an endcap - there are various ones to choose and they all seem to be as good as the slipos at a considerable saving. The ones with the tuneable end cap - adding or removing discs should see you right through your whole engine development process.

A full exhaust is so much nicer than a slip on its hard to talk about them in the same post. Any idea how much you want to spend? Do you have any preferences on weight? Also, is there a specific noise reduction that you have to comply with. Narrowing it down would be helpfull, there are simply too many exhaust systems for the DS to start with. For me anyways - Im not ready to write a book today.

Good idea but i think im going for the look of a new exhuast also.Because the black and alluminum stock exhuast gets old.

You might want to check out the Top Gun pipe by HPR. They have the discs and I think you can get it finished in Stainless. If you didnt care a ton about noise, that might be a good one. Just a thought if you dont know where to start.

A deep sounding exhuast(not too loud).weight doesnt matter.Under 500$.Dbl's dont matter.Really need exhuast that wont rust.Ride dunes, trails mostly.Preferably a full exhuast.Best performance availible with meeting my requirements.I like the lte duals however you have to remove the airbox.I ride in alot of creek beds. But those are my preferences.Any full exhuast suggestions(yoshi, white brothers, ron woods.ect)Thanks

The Yoshi stainless is a good choice. I was going to mention Big Gun, but they dont have a stainless.

If you dont have to rejet, then there is no performance gain. Rejetting is a good thing.
