Default Good Morning from Albany OR

It's a great day for racing, cool temp and good air. With two runs under our belt we have a 4.072 on a 650cc with 114 race gas and a good nos shot. We have better times ahead as this was not a perfect run. This motor will be torn down tonight and verifyed for bore and stroke by track officials. Fuel will also be submited for inspection. Will post more as time allows. We have the timeslip and the run on video, pic's tonight.

Sounds good. Thats exactly what I was expecting.....

Sure hope those 855's run atleast some 3.7's to be worth the $12,500 price tag.....especially if you run some 3.9's with a 650,

I wonder what those boys with the HPR 730's are thinking now that they are making 80+hp with a stock bore?

Probably the same thing the guys with the Pami 725, or the KMS Turbo setup, or anyone who has made a significant investment in their motor are thinking... 80 hp from a stock bore is real good.

They are probably about ready to crawl under a rock because they are soooo ashamed they spent that kind of money on their 730's to have a 650 knock them off their feet.

I think that most people know that technology changes and they may have expected it eventually. Now lets see how they can improve the BB also. If they can do that with the stocker lets see the BB.

Congrats Guys!!!!!

Well, I am going to speak my peace on this. Everyone should know that I am friends with everyone here.

Choose, you are trying to bring light to the motors that HPR sells. In my opinion you are comparing apples to oranges. This drag race stock bore is a race one or two times motor, where the others have motors that can go out and have fun with weekend after weekend. They might not have as much horsepower, but I bet they will out last that stock bore time and time again.

Years ago, there were only two builders of this motor. Team Pami and Ron Woods. Both are still good motors. The Team Pami was and still is a great motor. But at the time, the 760 was the fastest and highest HP motor out there. Well, I know of a stock bore that everyone thought was faster then that 760. And I know that the stock bore motor that I am reffering to, was faster then some of the 760's out there. But, That stock bore motor broke at least two cranks and some other stuff. It had been rebuilt many times compared to the 760's and the stage 3's that it ran against.

So, what I am trying to say is compare apples to apples.

If you ask any engine builder out there, they will tell you that they can build an extremely fast, high revving motor, or they can build a motor that will last a long time and still have BIG HP numbers.

I have a builder that is getting 50 + HP out of a 125 two stroke motor........That is huge!!!!!! But that motor only last one 20 lap race. They would love to put big bores and what not on these motors to make them last longer then that, but, are restricted.

The list of builders are TVI, KMS, Kenz cycle, Craycraft, Barker, The Bom Racing, HPR, Patriot racing, H and H Racing, Russel Motors......The list goes on and on. Ask any one of them.

I hope that this does not turn into a name throwing match. I just hope that everyone has a safe race and can come back and tell others about it. That goes for every weekend , not just this one weekend.

Good luck to all of the racers and congrats to this weekend racers.

Dunedevil, I totally agree with what your saying. Thanks for shedding a little more light on the subject so the "average Joe" will have a better understanding.
