Well I made one for about $40 bucks, took a bit of work but beats $300. I can get you a 72"x12" sheet of aluminum cut and bent for about $100, you'd have to drill your own holes which probably leaves out the "easy to install" part. There is a "prototype"pic on my page if you want to check it out. Otherwise Ricochet has them for $300.

I bought the richochet... love em. They also protect under the floorboards which always seem to get hung up.

Mike

Are the ricochet skids completely predrilled and do you if all hardware is included?

Check out those pix there is a link to their website, they are probably predrilled. Having already made one from scratch if I had to do it all over again AND had all the proper tools it would be MUCH easier. What was tricky for me was I have nothing to bend or cut the aluminum with so I had to work with my measurements which were pretty darn close but was off by about an inch in width and length on the floorboard crossing the full length piece was exactly right, I reinforced the front with diamont plate.

Everything is pre drilled and hardware is included. You have to drill 2 small holes but other than that its pretty straight forward. I have included a link with some photos for you to see what type of protection it offers. I have to admit...I live close to their shop so I dropped my wheeler off and they installed it for me. They offered this in exchange to see if anything changed from the 06 and 07 models. Don also wanted to see how they could accomodate a snow plow as well.

Thanks gentlemen. I just bought one online from the shop. Now what is the best way to prop the big rig up for installation?
