The kit comes with jets i believe from 165-200 and a new needle. The needle is
more agressive taper. You will get a little better throttle response. If it is the
original air filter i would replace it.If it is a 2000,6yrs is a bit old.

You really dont need the kit.You can buy various sizes from a dealer.

For some really good info read OMRs thread its called stock carb mods.

OK great question's and I am really enjoying the read.. Just FYI I bought a Dynojet kit for my DS650 2000, yesterday. It comes with the new needle and the extra jets. This keeps you from buying each piece individualy, as you can see it can get $$$$$.
I happen to have a Pro Circuit T4 pipe as well. but the rest was stock and getting some what the same performace as yours. In the 300 ft drag I ran a 6.23. Everyone I spoke to said that I need to finish the Stage 1 mod. by getting the performance air filter (I got a UNI) and the Jet kit.. Should be here tomorrow. Good luck I believe your are getting good advice and are on the right track.
P.S. Good job Fathooly you are keeping him going in the right direction.
