ds650 vs 700rapter
#21
I have had both a DS and a 700r.
I prefer my 700r in the tight trails and at altitude the Fuel injection rules.
IMO at the dunes they are about even and in the open desert I prefered my DS.
I am 6"5 250 and the Rappy is about as small of machine as I feel comfortable on.

the ds was made for desert racing, long travel suspension with 100 lbs more weight than the 700r.manuvering around and racing in a straight line drag the edge would go to the 700r.also the reverse can come in handy. all depends on what you will be doing as to which machine you would choose.

OK OK you guys have shown that there are light ppl who can handle the ds well...guess i was wrong. As for the ds being slow LOL...guess thats why i walk over lots of raptors then huh? No i havent raced the new 700r but i have raced lots of modded 660s with my ds and i take them in a flat drag.

The DS has so much power all you have to do is give it gas and the problem solves it self. I love the machine I ride as hard as i can on tight trails and leave my buddies behind all the time. They all say i'm crazy or some thing like that.. After a while you get the feel for the machine. It all depends what you have money for...Plus the DS can take more of a beating...
