I assume this is on the banshee? Yep, sand is different for sure. Most of these guys further east haven't seen sand dunes. They run turf tires on harder surfaces more often then paddles I imagine.

You like the LoneStar the best? I haven't really looked at there products but I see them advertising everywhere.

 

right, surface is the diff, in sand you want a little spin so when you hit the powerband and hookup your gone. i have rode ds before, but not an expert for sure. i could see maybe a couple of hun rpms or so past peak before shifting a ds. like you said due to the torque.

 

my 800 has 77ftlbs of torque and it puts it down now, even in 4x4 with dune stars front and back i still spin on take off. i will be going with a set of paddles that are being made for the back of the 800, and keep the dune stars on the front to see if that helps.
