Ride Indiana's "Interlake" - this december
It is coal mine reclamation, mostly woods trails but also some wide open grass plains with rolling hills. lots of technical woods trails, but also lots of easy and moderate trails too. It has everything from easy to hard core. Lots of hardwoods but also lots of pines in some areas. Easy hills and killer hills. Several ponds.
It truly is the best place in Indiana to ride, better than Badlands, better than Haspin Acres, better than Redbird. the woods trails are alot like Redbird, but much much bigger area.
Its going to be a multiuse area, with mountain bikes trails, horse trails, and ORV trails, with camping and fishing to boot, eventually when it is open.
I do not know if any camping will be allowed this particular weekend or not, I do not think so, I think its just a one day deal only. But I will inquire and find out for sure...
go the pictures page at FlatlandersATV.com to view a few pictures of Interlake - I didn't get many of the woods trails but it'l give you an idea. The coal maze seen in the pics will be off limits I think, hese pics are from back before the State decided to develop it...
