Just an update, real world testing of it going on in Oregon on a built DS and it seems good for a quiet pipe, it tested at 93.6 DB by the rangers.

Will post performance comparisons after more run time....

More information on the performance of the F4i pipe will be posted after this Saturday.I am taking the Radar gun out to see how the quiet pipe compares to my disced and cap.I am really hoping that the top end is as strong as the bottom and mid because my DS shot out of the hole with the quiet pipe like it never had before. Thanks again Scott.

Scott - What would you charge me to build me an F4i pipe made for the stock header? I think it would be the ticket for my 800 in Oregon.

You can PM me if you don't want to price it on open forum.

Well as i said i would i gave the F4i pipe a good test today and it performed very well but....it still could not quite match the performance of my disced end cap with 14 discs. The F4i pipe is very strong on the bottom and mid range but at least for me it was not quite the top end performer that the disced end cap was.I ran my DS against my old 690 Raptor all day that i recently sold to a friend and we were able to gauge changes since we were able to compare runs time after time.My old (2001) 690 is very fast and is not easy to out run and although the F4i pipe could not match the top end of my disced end cap it ran even with the 690 until fourth then it fell off but not dramatically the 690 just gradually pulled away.I would say that for a quiet(93.6 DB) pipe that will only ocasionally be used for drag racing the F4i woulod be a good choice but if you frequent the drag hill more than just once in a while it may not be what you want.Scott(The Stir) came up with what i feel is the best truly quiet pipe for a DS that comes close to performance of typical(LOUDER) pipes for the DS.If i am ever forced to run a quiet pipe i now have one that will perform well and although not the best for the drag hill it is probably the best quiet option.Scott i dont want to sound as if i was dissapointed with the pipes performance because i was actually impressed i think it is just asking too much to have a quiet pipe that can flow enough to work at the drag hill with a high compression motor like mine.

Mike,
I'm not disappointed. It sounds like its a good trail or duning set up. There is a price to pay to be quiet. I think its pretty good to have a pipe that tests out at 93.6 DB and still runs as hard as it does. Plus it make for a heck of a sleeper to be as quiet as a stock DS.

If they ever really crack down on sound it will be interesting to see how the other quads run with 93DB exhausts.
