I had to send my prototype emulsion tube out for quoting. So today my son and I installed a stock emulsion tube and we could not get the motor to run well with the lid off. I thought with the #40 air jet that the carb would work with lid off. I was wrong. We are at 800 ft elevation and depending on type of exhaust, lid off is limited, unless we have the modded emulsion tube installed.
With lid on, #40 air jet, DJ needle in 2nd groove and 180 DJ main, the motor ran best. The #40 air jet really helped bottom to mid and that is why needle worked best in the second groove. In 3rd it was too rich in mid range.
Sorry for the confusion, but most of my time has been with the modded emulsion tube, and now it appears to be even a bigger part of how to run with the lid off.

Just received 6 modded emulsion tubes, should have springs by tommorrow.
Will be able to quote a final price over the weekend.
I know several of you guys have done some mods allready, so the price will be based on what you will need to finish all the mods.

The spring is a custom made, I went through 5 different springs till I settled on this one.
To have the benefits of a cv carb and the snap of a flat slide, I ended up with a spring that is stiffer at bottom and lighter at top.
This gives you the more power at bottom, and with the modded emulsion tube, more power in mid and top. The best of all worlds

I have 5 complete custom jetkits available.
I prefer to sell these kits complete to get my investment back. In the future when I can get the emulsion tubes faster, I will sell them in a smaller kit.
My custom kit consists of:

Smaller Airjet
Custom Spring
Custom emulsion Tube
You send me your carb and I Install all components, modify washer, modify slide, check float height and install new screws.
My price will include delivery back. USA only at this time.
