Default motor paint is bubbled

Yes,, another question ,,, I should be done with these questions soon....lol

Baoght a 05 ds650.I didnt notice until after I baougt it that the cylinder paint was lightly bubbled. He obvioulsy over heated the motor.
I tried to lightly sand the bubbles off.... but now paint is dull....

Can the jug be repainted, and who supplies the paint. Or do I need to buy a new jug for it too look original...

The motor runs perfectly, no weird noises, no smoke, good compression. So I dont believe the motor is damaged in any way.
thanks for the help
mike

I would seriously dought the head could get hot enough to bubble the paint with out ruining the motor it sounds like a corrission thing and i belive the head is powder coated so to match that would be real hard.Good luck.

Well i didnt think it could get that hot either, especially without blowing the motor up...
I called he guy, he says no way he over heated it, he claims it was always looked like that. But its just the paint on the jug.
Also the bubbles in the paint are small, and none are discoulered. Like youwould expect....
Not surewhat to think,,,,

Anyon else have any ideas...

Could be just bad prep work before they coated it.

No offense but I wouldn't worry about some paint that is bubbled up its a quad and is supposed to get dirty so sand it down prime it, get high temp paint and tada your done...if the paint is still on there get a new clearcaot and just spray i over but make sure it is a high temp clearcoat duplicolor sells it in a can

Ok i know its just a quad, but i'm kinda particular about some things.. my buddy is makeing fun of me about this whole thing.
My biggest concern was , wether or not it could have actually overheated enough to bubble the paint. But it seems that isnt possible....also,its only the paint on the jub, not the head or crank case.....Makes sense about it being a factory defect. The original owenr says it was always like that.
You guys have any comments about the over heating issue... could it be possible.
thanks mike
