I like to merinade in a red wine, with garlic overnight, then set the staks out to get to room temp then grill, then I also marinate with Jack Daniles....some for the steak, some for me, some more for me, a little more for me, heck lets just go out! LOL!

Check out Adolph's Tenderizer by Lawry's. It's a seasoning salt that's all natural and uses Papain, an extract from papaya, to tenderize the meat.
You can shake it on right before cooking or add it to marinades.
It was recomended to me by a relative who's a cook and I use it on all kinds of meat now. Good stuff!

Steak?
Whats that?
Nah, Just funning ya,
I normally just buy mine from Wal-Mart, bring it home, tear a mall hole in the plastic, fill the package up with italian salid dressing and place in refrigerator for about 24hrs. Preheat the oven to about 350 degrees. Remove steaks from refrigerator, place in baking pan and pour remaining salid dressing into pan with steaks. Throw them in the oven and wait,

I have only tried this one on chicken but I think it would be good on anything. Worth a try anyway. It is equal parts of soy sauce, lime juice, and honey. Marinade for about an hour and throw on the grill. I know the chicken was good and am sure it would be good on a steak too.
