I have a 04 Outlander 400 with 500 miles on the odometer. The FAIL code appeared today for no reason that I can see. The engine starts OK, all the accessories work fine. I can switch from 2 to4 wheel drive no problem. I've had the Voltage regulator change twice under warranty but never with this problem. Has anyone had this problem before ? How can I diagnose the FAIL code to correct the problem. Looking for technical help.

 

Go for a third VR and your problem will be gone. Does your 04 have the relocate kit?

 

thats funny about you not riding a banshee. i'm 67 and have 2 artifical knee joints and 1 of my rides is a banshee. you just dont jump as high, but never give up.
