Default $500 an under

Alright i have an almost new 05 650x with the listed mods not very much. But i cant decide what i can get for 500$ an under.I dont really whant to do boring or port jobs or carbs.Because im only 16 and dont whant to mess with it an just ride.I would get a slip-on hmf but i have no re-jetting abilitie whats so ever.Im really not good with that sort of thing. If any have opinions on some stuff for looks or minor performance mods.Like i said im mechanically inclined even how imbarrasing that is to say.So give any ideas you have. Thanks

If you wanna go faster there is noway around jetting work and that type of work.....do it once and you will be good forever theres nothing to be affraid of in the carb....the bottom comes off and theres no way anything will fall out. I say buy a pipe and then rejet. But if you are just going for looks get a set of bars and some new foot pegs and nerfs.

Endcap, Aftermarket ehaust= exact same thing. Both require jetting to gain the maximum horsepower and may even require a change of jetting to be running right. You can get the endcap at www.hpresearch.net or get another stock exhaust cap from somewhere and mod it youself for the same power gains.

You've got to get the pipe dude... Its the best gain and easiest real mod to do. There are enough folks around here who can walk you through it. H&ll, my fantasy football team lost in the first round of playoffs so I'll be chillin' on Sundays for a couple weeks. PM me if you need any help, and I can walk you through the whole deal. If you have $500 to spend you could also get your intake race ported and really see some nice gains... not "scary gains" but "feels real good gains."

HMF - $240
Porting - $150

If my remedial math is right thats only $390... that leaves you with $110... save that for backup if for some reason you can't get tuned up right, if all else fails you can take her down to the shop and get her tuned. Just do it you will love it.

Holly is right, for 275 HPR sells a end Pipe also, the scuttle butt is that the Honde 450 carb is a good carb and its under 200, the stock one can be moded, look under the threads "Stock Carb Mods" and OMR has a list that helps that carb for little cost. Then a air cleaner K&N or no Toil.

I would go with the exhaust and then get a dyno jet kit it will give you pictures of what to do and tell you the rite jetting for your carb. or if you just want to rejet most of the guys here can help you out. Once you jet a carb it is very easy to do just don't be affraid to ask questions. It will wake your bike up big time you will not be disapointed.

My recommendation is a pipe and proflow intake. At only 16, there is no way for you to really know what you will be good at, lol. You will figure that out over the next 20 years. In other words, don't sell yourself short. Just find someone to teach you.
